Aloomba Lavender is a lavender farm and a B/B, gift shop, caravan & camping ground as well as a working cattle property, located a short drive from Stanthorpe on Qld Granite Belt (but are in NSW) Land for sale. 7 acre building block.
I am slow updating but I was amazed to read about the cool time! Like everywhere we are sweltering!
However it does cool off at night and the breeze through windows and doors is a joy. The lavender harvest went well although there are some flowers not cut that should be used for oil but the heat of the day saps our energy. We are pleased at the number of campers, vans and RVs who are finding us. We find the people to be so nice and friendly and easy to get on with.
At the present time we are on the planning committees for the new festival on the Granite Belt to be held 30thJune and 1st and 2nd of July. It would be wise to seek/book camping sites soon as possible as after last year we expect many more people to visit our lovely area. Last year and this year I took February off as far as the shop is concerned but we are open to camping through this time. It just gives me time to do other jobs and fell the freedom to be away if need be. This year I have a favourite Aunt visiting and it is a very precious time. Of course many of the wish list of things to do and tidy are not happening. The calendar is filling up with coach groups and we are very grateful for their patronage. At the moment we are waiting for good rain but otherwise we are happy. I take this opportunity to wish you all safe and happy travel. Tere

We stayed here over Easter. What a wonderful experience. To be surrounded by all the beautiful Lavender. The owners were very pleasant and helpful. Amenities great. The shop has some wonderful products. And the Lavender Scones and tea delicious. Big communal bonfire and a free pancake brekki laid on

Camped here for several days and made it a base for exploring the Granite Belt. Warm friendly folk who run a great gift shop, B&B and campground. Lavender products are excellent. Powered or unpowered sites at low cost. Beautiful outlook across the lavender fields and green hills.
