Billabong Nature Garden Rest Area is a wonderful day rest and recreational area in Gloucester, with BBQs, a children's play facility and a quaint little footbridge across the creek. The local farmers market is held here on the 2nd Saturday of the month.
The Billabong Native Gardens were established by Gloucester Shire Council as a passive recreation area for residents and visitors.

The Lions Club of Gloucester, provided much of the input and labour for the construction of the suspension bridge and ponds and has made extensive donations over the years to establish playground equipment, electric BBQ’s, park furniture and trees.
