The Bonshaw Weir Camping Area is on the NSW side of the Dumaresq River, which forms the border between QLD and NSW. A pleasant free campground with minimal facilities, where you can fish and swim upstream or downstream >200m away, Good shade.
You can't legally fish, swim or boat within 200m of the weir. As the weir is at the campground, these activities can only be undertaken up or down stream. There is a road crossing which provides downstream access.

The access road and campground surfaces are good in most weathers however entry requires the crossing of a small open concrete culvert which carries local runoff to the river. After heavy rain events, entry or exit from the campground would be difficult for all but very high clearance rigs.
