Driving Directions

84km west of Coolgardie on the northern side of Great Eastern Highway. Branch north-east at waypoint onto dirt road then turn left over the pipeline and follow dirt track. Approx 3km from Great Eastern Highway. Reasonable dirt road.

The waypoint is at the officially signed Boondi rest area. Enter rest area and veer right and follow the main track into the pipeline crossover then follow the well used road about 2 Km to the dam camping sight.

Boondi Rock campground is a small campground near a large granite outcrop and dam. The campground has seven vehicle-based sites which cater for camper trailers and/or caravans.
There are plenty of trees scattered throughout a large area, with picnic tables and fire pits beside the many campsites. Very private. There are new toilets, but water from the dam is unsuitable for drinking. There are notices warning against swimming in the dam. Easy walk to the Boondi Rock.

Some mobile Internet/phone access at camp but better on the rock.

Plenty of opportunity for bush walks. Beware the school holidays, the place is packed with locals and quad bikes.
