Lake Bundoora is a delightful man-made lake formed by the dam that was constructed on German Creek for mining purposes. It is an ideal spot for camping, fishing and swimming.
For those who like to fish, the dam contains several species including saratoga, golden perch and sleepy cod.

Stayed here last week. Was very crowded with very little shade in level area suitable for camping by water. Plenty of generators filled up at 7.30 pm and then left to run all night to power airconditioners.......very noisey !! Probably good spot when only a few people camping not a cast of hundreds
Bait fishing and red claw trapping is almost impossible as the lake is overrun with turtles :(
