Camp Kanga is located not far from Lake Proserpine with its water skiing, boating and fishing. This is a Lions International Youth Camp that has powered sites and cabin accommodation available.
It has wonderful showers, a dump point and all the amenities listed above. Really helpful management. Dam a few minutes drive away with large Barra being caught.

The rare Prosperpine rock wallabies come into camp to be fed and the odd echidna may been seen wandering at night.

Coming in on Up River Rd take Spruce Rd to cross river. If you get to the end of the seal & a dirt road through sugar cane I suggest turn & go back to Spruce Rd. There is a rocky ford on this road past the water treatment plant & a dirt track up to a gate but only for the brave with 4x4 & no Caravan
Bitumen Road all the way from Proserpine.   Manager

15/01/15. Good camping area on river bank. Plenty of wildlife. Well mowed grassy areas for vans and big rigs, with some shade. Amenities block is available. We have power and water $25 pn two people. Only short distance from the Peter Faust Dam, Lake Proserpine. Good fishing. Caretakers on left.
