The Carcoar Dam Camping Area is not only free, it is one of the nicest camps anywhere. The only downside is the cold showers, but hey, who is complaining.
Boating on the lake, fishing and bushwalking.

Nice spot to camp especially if you have a boat. Not many level areas to camp so bring your levelling ramps and blocks. Can be busy in warmer months and even crowded in December.

This free camp is one of the better ones in NSW. Some of the area is hilly, but there are plenty of level spots to be found if you try. Toilets, cold showers and overlooking this beautiful lake. A boat ramp that is big enough for anything you can tow. Popular water skiing spot. Wind turbine farm.
