Just off the Burnett Highway and on the bank of the northern bank of the Burnett River, this circular rest area provides easy access with plenty of level space for any size rig. Good facilities and shade here.
Don't leave it too late to pull in as it is a popular spot. You may need an external aerial in order to get reasonable 3G broadband reception in this location.

The rest area is named after a lung fish found in the Burnett and Mary Rivers.

The Shire Council should be recognised for the way they maintain these free camps in their area. Tidy and clean. A popular spot. While here, drop into Eidsvold and top up your meat supplies at the butcher – we were very pleased with what we bought.
