Driving Directions

Proceed to waypoint on Namitjira Drive, 12km north of Larapina Drive junction or 60km south-west of Glen Helen Resort. Turn south-west for 6km on rough dirt road. 4WD only. No caravans.

Gosses Bluff is thought to be the eroded remnant of an impact crater. The impactor, an asteroid or comet, was probably about 1 km in diameter and crashed into the earth about 142 million years ago.
