Franklin Foreshore Reserve Camping Area is a large grassy area, conveniently located at Franklin in the Huon Valley. It is an ideal place to base yourself for a few days of exploring the delights of this area.
This is a great camp alongside the water and there are flushing toilets, access to water and a dump point. Charges are very reasonable.

Enjoy fishing in the Huon River and swimming in the summer. Plenty of space here.

Dolphins can be sometimes seen swimming past. Catch brown trout, perch, trevally and flathead from the shore. Franklin is a great walk-around town. Lady Franklin Hotel has the best value for money meals in town.

The local shops and pub are very close.
