Glenugie State Forest Rest Area is shady stretch of old highway adjacent to the Pacific Highway with toilets and picnic tables. This is a free overnighter with a line of trees acting as a buffer from the highway.
This is a long stretch of old road which rejoins the highway some distance along, so being a drive through configuration, there is no need to turn around. There is plenty of room on level ground.

As a drive though highway rest area go, this is one of the better ones, with a nice grassy park to stroll in and information boards to read.
