Driving Directions

Turn off Stuart Highway at Howard Springs. Follow Gunn Point Road for about 40km to the end. Continue after the end of the road along a bush track to the beach.

This road is usually badly corrugated. Dirt road most of the way.

Gunn Point has to be the ultimate get-away spot. Close enough to civilisation to have mobile phone coverage, yet remote enough to ensure that only serious beachcombers and campers will ever take the trouble to get here.
A magical place where few visit. Probably because of the 40km of really bad corrugated dirt road. Worth the pain if you wish to lose yourself for a week or three.

While it is possible to launch a boat, there are some challenges. You can either drive out at low tide and put the boat in or find a creek mouth at high tide. Not a task for someone on their own.
