Guttram State Forest Camping Area is set in a forest of giant rivergum trees on the bank of the Murray River. There are no formal camping areas and it is just a matter of finding somewhere that suits your needs.
The nature of this place has an inherent danger of falling limbs from the red rivergums. Look up and avoid camping under any of the older trees with dead branches. The young regrowth poses less danger.

The roads in the state forest are dry weather only and even then 4WD is highly recommended. Some of the wheel tracks can be deep enough to lose an aircraft carrier. Drive slowly through the rough areas to avoid damage.
