Junction Park Rest Area Theodore is a nice, open but shady free overnighter with bitumen access and reasonably level camping areas. Well away from traffic on the bank of the Dawson River. Yellowbelly are being caught here on a regular basis.
The rest area is free with hot showers and toilets with a donation box attached to the shower block for people to contribute to help pay for the gas for the showers.

The town main street is a 10 minute leisurely walk. There is a bakery, IGA, a couple of dress shops, hairdressers and the only co-operative pub owned by the people of the town in Australia. The pub does lunch and dinner as well.

Pleasant, shady and very well looked after. Showers and all facilities are great. Don't forget to leave a contribution for the showers.

Not very large and it seems usually full. No parking remains available for day use.
