Kaniva Rotary & Lions Fauna & Wetlands Park is an initiative of the Rotary and Lions club and popular with all ages. Facilities include electric BBQ, seating, shade and toilets. Donations towards feeding the animals are appreciated.
n easy 350-metre stroll west of the Kaniva Visitor Centre brings you to the start of the peaceful walking tracks around the enclosed Fauna Park and the adjacent Wetlands. The Fauna Park features Kangaroos, Wallabies, Emus, Deer, Guinea Fowl and Peacocks, while in the aviary are Red-Tailed Black Cockatoos, King Parrots, Regent Parrots and Western Rosellas.

The wetland area features a series of walkways and bird hide, where a number of native grass species grow and is home to a varying population of waders and waterbirds as well as some species of frogs. Try to spot the little Australian Grebe and listen for the raucous voice of the Clamorous Reed Warbler and the plaintive call of the Little Grassbird. Among the trees may be Honeyeaters, Lorikeets, Red-Rumped Parrots, Eastern Rosellas, Crested Pigeons, Galahs and Corellas.
