Kershaw Gardens is open again and operating as an overnight stop. Some areas of the gardens continue to be fenced off, after damage from Cyclone Marcia in February 2015.
A pleasant garden setting, just across the road from a Stockland shopping centre.

Kershaw Gardens High Street car park which is a large gravelled area seems to have become an de facto free overnight spot. There are no signs restricting or permitting it (but neither are there any about what 'normal' parking is permitted). Some travellers are saying there is a 48 hour limit.... but who knows?!

There are a few picnic tables including one covered one next to the picturesque creek, but there are no other facilities on the site.

There is a second car park adjacent to the roundabout on the A1 highway at Knight Street where parking is permitted only until 1530 according to a notice there.
