Driving Directions

From Moina, proceed south on Cradle Mountain Road to waypoint, ignoring the signposted Lake Gairdner Road and proceeding on about 500m.

At the waypoint, on a bend in the road you will see dirt road on the RHS at the top. This is not signposted. There is a give way sign here. Proceed down dirt road for 4km's and you will see the lake and camp area, just over the bridge.

Lake Gairdner Camping Area is a fairly large grassed camping area just over the bridge beside the Lake, There are also a couple of sites before the bridge on the left.

You may even see a Platypus playing near the bridge.
There are no facilities so bring your own firewood and water you can take water out of the lake for showering etc but would not recommend for drinking.

This camp is ideal for visits to Cradle Mountain as it is only about 35km's away. Also nearby is Tasmazia which includes 8 mazes, featuring The Great Maze, reputedly the world's largest, as well as "The Village of Lower Crackpot", a whimsical model village built to 1/5th scale, The Pancake Parlour, a Gift Shop, a Lavender Farm, and ever present views of majestic Mount Roland well worth a day out.
