This is a National Park. Sites may need to be pre-booked. The road from Adels Grove may be corrugated and is unsealed.
There are canoes for hire and it is pleasant paddling on the river. Fresh water crocodiles may be seen above a waterfall a few kilometres upstream after paddling through a very scenic gorge. Canoes can be portaged.
There are very impressive bush walks available and the scenery is very beautiful.
