Driving Directions

Proceed to waypoint 57km E of Mount Isa, 64km W of Cloncurry on N side of Barkly Highway. Drive through gateway and continue to township in RHS. GPS point is at town roundabout. Just a few kilometres from the highway.

Roads can be variable condition, so expect potholes and washouts at times.

Mary Kathleen was a uranium mine from 1954 to 1984. The township no longer has any buildings, but the streets and concrete slabs are still there.
This delightful ghost town stands on a private cattle property. Please respect the property so that others may continue to enjoy it. No firearms, no cutting down trees. Take note of all signs.
