Mathoura Long Paddock Visitor Information Centre is located in Moama Street Mathoura. There is a pleasant rest area here with toilets and a children's playground.
The Information Centre provides a range of information for the tourist and traveller alike, including maps of the town and region, information on local and regional attractions, assistance with accommodation and other services as required. Maps and brochures are also available, together with a selection of souvenirs and other merchandise.

The Long Paddock refers to the use of this route now traversed by the Cobb Highway, for droving cattle from Queensland and New South Wales down to the markets in Victoria during the 19th century.

At various points along the Cobb Highway there are plaques telling the story of those early pioneering days and the people who helped to build what would become Australia.
