Melville Caves Picnic Area is an expansive day rest facility in the Kooyoora State Park, with wood BBQs, picnic tables and clean flushing toilets.
There are walking tracks up to the caves and large granite boulders are all around the park. There is much to enjoy in this natural forest area with abundant wildlife and birds.

The Melville Caves are not formed by limestone. They are made up of a group of large granite boulders located in the Kooyoora State Park. It is the spaces between these boulders form the caves.
