Driving Directions

Moyston is about 15km west of Ararat and 21km south-east of Pomonal on the Ararat-Pomonal Road. The Sportsground is on the northern edge of town.

Moyston Sportsground provides level shady or sunny camping sites for travellers. This is a good base for exploring the local area. There is a fee for power and water.
Moyston’s proximity to the Grampians National Park provides opportunities to explore the area, using Moyston as a base. The town of Moyston is looking to developing its tourism business growth potential. It is promoted as the birthplace of Australian Rules Football.

Oh so disappointing. Maintenance is non existent. No access to showers/amenities. Public toilets only, which are a disgrace. Plenty of room for those who don't need power otherwise the powered sites are right next to the GW Highway or opposite the entrance. Scrap yard on the grounds too. Not good.
Great spot. Plenty of room and clean showers. They may only be hot when events are on. Our Friday arrival coincided with the start of the Endurance Championship. Locals advised that temperamental power was going to be upgraded and invited us to share the fire and a yarn while they played pétanque.
