This is really 4WD country.

Mulwala State Forest is an expansive bushland area where camping is permitted and which offers many tracks suitable for 4WD exploration.
This is not really a place for caravans. More suited to camper trailers or tents. The roads are rough and sandy as well as having some boggy area. It can also have some hilly spots and these are ideal for those who like to put their 4X4 through its paces.

Choice of camping spots is vast. Just find what suits you and set up camp. There are no facilities here of any kind. Some locations are on the bank of the Murray River, while others are well into the bush.
