Driving Directions

Proceed to waypoint at junction of Great Northern Highway and Camballin Road. Turn south onto Camballin Road and follow for 40km to campsites. On the way you will come to a 3-way intersection. (GPS: -18.04630, 124.16158). The sharp right turn leads to the Looma community settlement and the left turn to private property.

The campground is straight ahead.

Take extra care when crossing the causeway when water is flowing over the roadway. Moving water is a powerful force and it is best to check on foot first, to gauge the depth if at all in doubt.

The magnificence of Myroodah Crossing is reflected in the beauty of the birdlife on the Fitzroy River and surrounding billabongs. Egrets, cranes and herons, among others, play out their parts like actors on a watery stage.
In the distance, the red rocky outcrops stand as a backdrop to the wetlands.

Inaccessible after heavy rain. Unsealed road from Great Northern Highway.
