Driving Directions

14km south-west of Hay on the northern side of the Sturt Highway and the southern bank of the Murrumbidgee River.

Nine Mile Reserve Camping Area is a free camp close to Hay where you can stay without time limit. No facilities here. Excellent fishing in the river.
To be realistic you are going to need 4WD here as it has unmade tracks with are boggy much of the time. Plenty of shade among the river gums where you can set up camp, but these areas are not all level, so bring your levelling ramps.

The turnoff to the tracks from the highway are sometimes easy to miss.
