Norval Park provides free beach camping area behind sand dunes. Must be self sufficient if using free camp area. Fire wood available. 4WD highly recommended once you leave the main camp area due to soft sand tracks.
There is a paid council run camp area available for 10 vehicles. You have to book on the Bundaberg Regional Council web site to use this area which has toilets and water.

This area is approx. 500m back from the beach. Most people who have 4WDs elect to use the free camps behind the sand dunes close to the sea. The free camp area is not council approved, but this has not stopped people camping there.

Plenty of shady camps behind the dunes. The road in from Yandarran to the council provided camp area is a good graded gravel road suitable for both 2WD. Once past the council camp area, access is limit to 4WDs, but you can get to some areas close by in 2WD vehicles behind the dunes.

Check road access during wet season and king tides as you have to cross a causeway.
