The Peacock Creek Camping Area is a great base from which to explore the Richmond Range National Park. Facilities are basic, with toilets, picnic table and fireplace.
The Richmond Range National Park is high up in the mountains and from some vantage points along Cambridge Forest Drive you can see all the way to Mount Warning if the weather is favourable. Cambridge Forest Drive intersection is 2.5km east of Peacock Creek Camping Area.
