Driving Directions

Proceed to waypoint, 5km south of Crows Nest, 6km north of Hampton on New England Highway. Turn east and proceed for 1km on Pechey Forestry Road to picnic area.

The Pechey State Forest is a pine plantation dating back to the 1920s. The Park provides a day rest area just 1km off the New England Highway via Marion Street and Pechey Forestry Road.
Within the pine forestry is an arboretum which preserves some of the pine species that were originally imported to establish this plantation. The Pechey Forestry Arboretum, which is listed on the Queensland Heritage Register, preserves seven of the original 24 species of exotic pines planted in the late 1920s.
