The Pilliga Artesian Mineral Baths Camping Area is a great free camp with easy access and level sites. There is a small gravel covered area adjacent to the Bore Baths, however this area is sought after and the spots disappear quickly.
The remaining area is large and sparsely grassed on black soil and becomes impassible with 5 to 8mm rain.

Open fires are allowed, however you will need to supply your own timber as the area has been picked over for fire wood. An enterprising local wanders through every few day with firewood for sale out of the back of a box trailer.

Baths are clean and well maintained. The temperature is very comfortable and the water revitalising. Shower and toilet facilities are cleaned regularly. Shade structure over baths with tables and seats was in excellent condition. Many people use the water directly from the bore pipe and it is rumoured to make a great cup of tea.

There is a great cafe with bread and milk supplies, and excellent meals and burgers. The girls that run the cafe do a great job and is inexpensive. They have just done up the inside of the cafe and looks magic.

There is a Pub serving meals approximately 3km away.

Please note, This is not a free site anymore. A fee of $5 per night is payable at the Pilliga Store. It still is well worth the stay.
