Driving Directions

The campground can be reached by conventional vehicle or boat. Although the campground as a whole is accessible by car, it is necessary to park a short distance from camp sites. It is not possible to drive onto a camp site.

Platypus Campground Lake Tinaroo is both camping and day-use area, in a hoop pine plantation that was established in 1971. Popular with anglers, this area overlooks the dam wall.
All camping must be booked – self-registration is no longer available. Campers may occupy their booked site from 2.00 pm and must leave by 11.00 am.
