Pooginook Conservation Park Camping Area is located in Mallee scrub in this expansive conservation park. There are some tracks leading into the scrub, but not all are suitable for a caravan. Bush camping close to nature.
Mallee scrub and orange rolling sand dunes set the scene for Pooginook Conservation Park.

The dense mallee scrub in the northern part of the park provides shelter to a range of wildlife, including kangaroos, echidnas, hairy-nosed wombats, fat-tailed dunnarts and the rare malleefowl. In contrast, the southern section features open mallee as the area was once largely used for wheat farming. Visit in spring when the mallee wildflowers burst into colour.

The park provides good opportunities for birdwatching. Keep a look out for black-eared miners, honeyeaters and many other colourful mallee birds.

Enjoy the peacefulness of the park with a picnic beneath the shade of the mallee or camp overnight.
