Driving Directions

500 metres from the park entrance and 2.5 kilometres from Mount Emu Plains Road. The road into the camp ground is fully sealed.

Pyramid Campground is situated in the upper level of Porcupine Gorge. The campground is the starting point for the 2.4 kilometre return Pyramid track that leads down into the gorge.
This is a spectacular location. The walk down to the gorge is steep, but the views are breathtaking. There is a swimming hole below the pyramid rock.

As with all Queensland national parks these days, you need to pre book and pay for the campground before you camp. Phone access is non existent. There is a National parks office in Hughenden
