Runnymede Nature Reserve is an expansive open forest area with mostly small regrowth, but with scattered old growth eucalypts. There are well made gravel tracks transversing the area.
This is a peaceful location, set well off the highway. A good spot for enjoying nature and just a short, but steep walk (or scramble) down the bank to the river.

There are no facilities here at all. Rubbish should be taken away on departure. There are public toilets at Elmore which is 5km away.
