Sandy Beach Camp MIA-1 is a bush camp with no facilities, but a very pleasant bush camp at that.
Located right on the Murrumbidgee River with a nice sandy beach, you can be self sufficient here if you have some fishing gear with you.

Camping is permitted throughout MIA1 (Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area 1), Sandy Beach is the only location with toilets. Generally, the roads are worse the further you head NW.

Look for "Grahams Grave"- "Sandy beach" Is 1 of my all time favorite camping spots. To find it. Go 12 km west on irrigation way from Narrandara. note: its well past the airport. When you turn off and go down to the park entrance. keep to the left when the track forks untill you get down to the river
