Driving Directions

2km south-west of Sharon on southern side of Bundaberg-Gin Gin Road.

Located near the Burnett River, this pleasant stopover is just south-west of Sharon on the outskirts of Bundaberg.
Sharon Gorge is a peaceful area with rainforest, ferns, palms and orchids. It is an important habitat area for flora and wildlife including vulnerable Wedge-leaf Tuckeroo.

The park has a shady picnic area surrounded by Bunya & Kauri Pines. There are regularly maintained toilets, BBQs and sheltered picnic tables as well as free camping (overnight only).

The track through the rainforest is great but spray first. There's a fishing spot for one only! The rest area is very popular with the backpacker crowd and they don't call it quits at 9pm! So if that's a potential problem, it might be best to look elsewhere.
