Located by the Stuart River, the Soren Hansen Bridge Rest Area is a large circular overnighter with a sandy gravel track encircling a grassy centre area shaded by a scattering of trees. The only facilities are 2 small covered picnic tables.
The Stuart river is a steep banked small narrow stream on the western edge of the camp site. it abounds with small bird life, Wrens, Finches etc and the large shady River Red Gums contain lots of nesting Galah's and Cockatoo's.

The rest area is very pretty, quiet and restful. Highly recommended.

Not always well maintained.
