Driving Directions
Proceed to waypoint on Mount Lindsay Highway, 15km south of Beaudesert. Turn south-east onto Christmas Creek Road and follow for 28km to campground on north-eastern side of Christmas Creek Road.
Christmas Creek Road is a narrow bitumen road with a width of less than 2 lanes. Caution is required when passing oncoming traffic.
Stinson Park Camping Area is a small campground with grassy sites and good shade. There are BBQs, campfire places and limited drinking water. Fishing and swimming can be enjoyed in the creek. No pets allowed here.
In 1937 a Stinson aircraft crashed in the rainforest of the Lamington National Park. Local hero Bernard O'Reilly set up a search and rescue base at this location.
