Stotts Island Nature Reserve Bruce Chick Park is no longer available as an overnight camp. Day use only.
It can be a bit muddy after rain, which is almost anytime at all. There are some interesting residents here. A couple of peacocks and a herd of feral chickens hang around hoping for the odd scrap of food.

However the most noticeable are the mosquitoes and sand flies that zoom down on any unsuspecting bare flesh at dusk.

Big Rigs have to negotiate low trees and a 3 point turn, (both ends). Lots Of Shade.

Be very careful when leaving, if turning right. A sign down the road to your left can hide oncoming traffic.

Always seems boggy, even without recent rain. Better to continue to Yelgun for an Overnighter.

Site is still open as at Tues 15th Sept 2015. We were advised that council has plans to refurbish toilets. Access road still needs work (potholes).

Quiet at night but bring the Aerogard. I mean don't go in without it.
