Tailem Bend South Rest Area sits among young pine trees mixed in with mallee, providing some shade. It is a circular gravel rest area at the end of a strip of bitumen, parallel to the highway. Keep your eyes open on approach. Easy to miss
There is quite a bit of traffic noise here at times, even though some trees provide some screening from the road.

There is a conservation area adjacent to the rest area where bushwalking can be enjoyed.
