Towong Reserve Camping Area is on the bank of the Upper Murray River with lush grassy level camping. Choose shaded under the massive trees or sunny if you prefer.
There are no facilities here, but it is an easy drive across the bridge and on to Corryong, where everything you need can be found.

Long drop toilet with a heavy steel door that looks like it came from an old Jail. Up to 5 days stay that can be extended with Council Permit (See pictures of sign)

Towong Bridge over the Murray River at Towong will be closed from Monday 5 September 2016 for six months until the end of February 2017. The bridge will reopen with the 15 tonne limit over the Christmas period from mid-December until early January 2017.

Detours are available upstream via Bringenbrong Bridge on the Alpine Way, or downstream at Tintaldra.

Part of the camping reserve will also be closed during this time.
