Driving Directions

Caution: Be sure to travel via waypoint on Kingstown Road.

From junction of New England Highway and East Street at Matilda Service Station, turn west into East Street. Follow East Street as it becomes Kingstown Road over bridge across Rocky River to waypoint. Turn north at waypoint onto Devoncourt Road and follow signs.

GPS navigation devices may send you down a narrow track on wrong side of creek if you simply use the final GPS point. GPS point shown here is at top of track that leads down to fossicking area to avoid this problem.

Continue for another 200m past this point to campsite. If your GPS sends you anywhere else, ignore it.

This is a pleasant hideaway where you can chill out for a few days or more. Not many level areas for caravans but a lovely peaceful spot.
Beside the babbling Rocky River, a shallow stream where you may fish, swim or pan for the yellow stuff. Drinking water is available in limited supply from a tap.
