Driving Directions

27km south-east of Denham off Shark Bay Road. Proceed to waypoint and turn south-west on dirt road for 1km.

Whalebone Bay is one of four campsites at which you are allowed a 1-night stopover. It is one night at any one of your choice. The other three are Eagle Bluff, Fowlers Camp and Goulet Bluff.
There is a fee for camping and a permit must be obtained before setting up camp. Fines apply for non compliance.

Top camp no facilities but great views right on the beach, Fees apply limited to 4 campers 24hrs. Spoke to Ranger who does check everyday and says that some do try and evade the fee. The area is pristine and hopefully stays that way biggest prob are backpacker campers according to the Ranger.
