Driving Directions

143km east of Derby, 151 km north-west of Fitzroy Crossing. Turn south at waypoint off Gibb River Road for 20km to campground. OR;
Turn north 43km west of Fitzroy Croosing onto Leopold Downs Road for 105km. Dirt road.

Windjana Gorge campground is accessible by two-wheel-drive vehicle. Facilities include generator and non-generator sites, flushing toilets, wood fire rings, picnic tables, rubbish bins, hot and cold showers and a Telstra phone – use Phone Away cards.
The walls of Windjana Gorge rise abruptly from the wide alluvial floodplain of the Lennard River, reaching about 100 metres high in some places. The 3.5-kilometre long gorge cuts through the limestone of the Napier Range; part of an ancient barrier reef, which can also be seen at Geikie Gorge and Tunnel Creek National Parks.
