South Coast of NSW Showgrounds

The South Coast of New South Wales is a narrow coastal strip between the ocean and the mountains which stretches from the Royal National Park south of Sydney to the Victorian border near Eden.

Nowra Showground Camping Area
There are a variety of sites available at Nowra Showground for RVs and campervans. The Showground gates are locked at night. A key can be obtained from the Visitors Centre. Council Rangers patrol the Showgrounds regularly.

Bemboka Sportsground
Bemboka Sports Ground is a camping area operated by the Lions Club. It has toilet, BBQ and power facilities, a free electric BBQ with picnic tables & shelters. Nice by river location.

The region includes Wollongong, Kiama and Shellharbour, Jervis Bay and the Shoalhaven towns of Nowra, Mollymook and Ulladulla, Batemans Bay and the Eurobodalla towns including Batemans Bay, Moruya and Mogo . The southernmost towns of Bega, Merimbula, Pambula and Tathra are on the Sapphire Coast.

The summer days are long and mild, while the winters are crisp and clear. The region is renowned for its pristine beaches and provides a playground for all who enjoy water sports, fishing and boating. There is a vibrant tourism industry where visitors can enjoy whale watching, frolicking dolphins and seal colonies. Divers in particular favour the many marine parks where leafy sea dragons can be spotted. Montague Island in particular is a Mecca for scuba divers with its colonies of both Australian and New Zealand seals.

Montague Island is also accessible by regular boat tours that provide an interesting historical and nature lovers' day excursion.
